Google Drive connections
Connecting Google Drive is optional. You choose individual files through Google's file picker. Chaat reads those files to create your bot's knowledge and checks linked files daily for changes. Although Google's selected-file permission also permits editing, Chaat's integration only reads your Drive files.
Selected content is stored in Chaat and sent to OpenAI for indexing and answering questions. We use this Google data only to provide the knowledge and sync features you request, not for advertising or training general-purpose AI models. Chaat's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Connection tokens are encrypted. Disconnecting Drive deletes Chaat's stored connection token and stops automatic updates, while keeping imported knowledge. Remove a source from Knowledge to stop using it and delete its stored content. You can also revoke Chaat's access in your Google Account settings.
Data retention and security
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Uploaded training content is retained until you delete it or close your account.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we encourage you to use strong passwords and report any suspected breach.

chaat.ai uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and support marketing and analytics.
